Nintendo Switch Games: the Good, the Bad, and the Weird

Yes, the Switch is in danger of puttering out of the gate with one of the weakest launch lineups in recent memory. But even looking beyond its obvious high point – The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – it's not all doom and gloom, at least not forever. Earlier today, Nintendo invited fans and media to play a number of games on the horizon for the Switch. Some of the big names were missing (no Super Mario Odyssey nor Xenoblade 2,) but attendees did get a chance to mess around with some crucial launch-year titles like Zelda, Splatoon 2, and 1-2 Switch. After spending a few hours checking out what's coming this year for the Switch, I'm finding it more difficult to despair, and that's a good thing.
