Ubisoft generally puts on a weird E3 press conference, and that’s not always a good thing. They’ve put their name on a number of dumpster fires over the years – the live laser tag demonstration, the excruciatingly awkward cosplay interview, and the “Mr. Caffeine” debacle to name a few. But to Ubisoft’s credit, this year’s edition was pretty graceful. They showed off a suite of cool games, and managed only one, mercifully short Just Dance sequence. The known quantities like Far Cry and Assassin’s Creed were front in center, but they also packed some pretty major surprises. Here’s the cliffnotes if you missed the show.
