27. The Banner Saga 2
A story of grief in a dying world, The Banner Saga 2 was about two bands of survivors marching through snow while supplies dwindled. They faced enemies in turn-based combat improved from the original, which was sometimes more of a drudge than even a game about walking through snow for months should have been. There were also hard decisions to make – a common enough feature in RPGs, but The Banner Saga 2 is the exemplar for the kind of quandaries where you weigh the consequences and make an impossible choice, then face the results with heart in mouth.
