12. Dishonored 2
While the original Dishonored was a solid stealth game with an intriguing setting and some standout levels, in Dishonored 2 every level was the standout. The time-travel one, the one with the dust storms, the clockwork mansion that reconfigured itself around you – each could have been stretched into an entire game of its own. Instead, they were one-and-done set-pieces to explore until you found and dealt with the target in your own way, using powers whose possibilities the game only hinted at or eschewing them entirely to sneak through as if you were never there.
