25. The rare modern reason to visit an arcade
With the Battle Pod, it's all about atmosphere. Once you've stepped into its cockpit and isolated yourself from the Dave & Buster's around you, a domed screen encompasses your peripheral vision and immerses you in the Star Wars galaxy. The experience to follow is about as on-rails as it gets – but if you're one to criticize straightforward gameplay in that situation, you're totally missing the point. Hardcore fans will appreciate the familiar scenarios, as well as possibly changing Star Wars history as Darth Vader in his TIE Advanced just after the destruction of the Death Star. The game even allows for downloadable content of a sort – since Battle Pod's initial 2014 release, a Takodana level inspired by the X-wings dogfighting over a lake in The Force Awakens has been added. Want your own? It'll only set you back a mere $37,800 for the base model…or $98,000 for the premium edition with leather seats.
