Contrary to popular opinion, that Bioware's original Knights of the Old Republic is the best Star Wars RPG ever, a solid – and seemingly growing – contingent now backs Obsidian's sequel released only one year later. Or was it nine years later? When players originally experienced the game, something felt incomplete and rushed about it. Then fans started hacking into the game's files, where they discovered not only unused voice files and missions, but also an entire missing planet. In 2009, modders put right these wrongs, and by 2012, the Sith Lords Restored Content Mod was complete. Not only were over 500 bugs squashed and incomplete missions completed, the team even went so far as to record any missing dialogue. In 2015, the missing droid planet M4-78 was also modded in, despite the modders not having much material to work with. With all of these new additions, maybe the KOTOR vs. KOTOR 2 debate is worth revisiting after all…
