17. Buying a GameCube for its most awe-inspiring launch game
If there's a game as old as Rogue Leader that holds up as well graphically in 2017 as it did in 2001, please let us know. Really, how often does a game push a system's graphical capabilities to the max at launch? And oh yeah – it played amazing well, too. With no Mario game in sight for the first time in the history of Nintendo console launches (fine game that it is, Luigi's Mansion doesn't count), many would argue that Rogue Leader was the reason to own a GameCube on November 18, 2001.
