36. Beating your best friend's score. Then falling behind him again. Then beating him one more time
No one does video pinball like Zen Studios, and the company has released no less than 14 Star Wars-themed tables since taking on the license in 2013. As opposed to the also fine collection of tables in FarSight's The Pinball Arcade that emulate real-life classic pinball tables, Zen creates its tables from scratch, combining pinball action with effects only possible in a video game, like a 3D Boba Fett jetpacking around the screen collecting bounties. Zen has also mastered the art of the compelling leaderboard, flashing messages on screen that tell you how far you are from surpassing your friend's high score. And when you finally do it? The game congratulates you by animating your score surpassing your friend's. It feels great.
