20 Awesome 'Star Wars' Characters that Came From Games

From the guy who originally stole the Death Star plans back in 1995 to the meanest droid in 'Star Wars'

Meatbag-blasting HK-47 has proven to be one of the most popular characters created specifically for 'Star Wars' video games LucasArts3/20

Arguably the most popular Star Wars character created specifically for video games, this Hunter Killer class assassin droid was constructed by Darth Revan nearly 4,000 years before the events of A New Hope and had a healthy disdain for any humans he came across. "It is my primary function to burn holes through meatbags that you wish removed from the galaxy," he would grumble. Though associated with the popular Bioware single-player RPGs, HK-47 also appeared in the more recent MMO The Old Republic, as well as in Drew Karpyshyn's 2011 novel The Old Republic: Revan. Interestingly, he is the only character featured in Electronic Arts' extremely popular 2015 mobile game Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes that is not drawn from Disney's new Star Wars canon, suggesting we may see him accepted into the fold and used elsewhere soon.
