There's a side quest in Breath of the Wild that many players will never find on their own. The only hint is when a resident of Hateno village mentions something about a construction company in town. If you seek them out you'll learn that you can buy an old house they're about to demolish, for the low, low price of several thousand rupees and (for some reason) many bundles of wood.
That sets off a questline in which you'll gradually upgrade your house with things like weapon display racks, furniture, and lighting. This also leads to an entirely separate line of quests in which you'll help found a brand new town across the map.
The unfortunate bit is that you can't actually do anything with your house, besides choosing which bows, shields and melee weapons to hang up (and you know you're going with the elemental greatswords). It would be great to be able to customize your house and make it really feel like your own, maybe through an Animal Crossing-style vendor who would sell different bits of furniture throughout the week, or an extension of the village's dye shop that let you throw up coats of paint. Anything to make that home feel more like a home, and less a museum for the weapons you don't want to break. Speaking of which...
