Armada vs Hungrybox, EVO 2016

On July 17th, before a record-breaking Twitch.tv audience of 232,900 viewers, Juan "Hungrybox" Debiedma won EVO 2016 over Adam "Armada" Lindgren, the greatest Super Smash Bros. Melee player of all time. Coming from the loser's bracket, Debiedma had to win two consecutive best-of-five sets to prevail, which he did, 3-2 and 3-2, in incredibly close last-touch situations. The crowd lost its mind. You can argue that Lindgren threw away victory, but credit goes to Debiedma for hanging in, game after game, to capitalize and eke out a win.

And when he won – well, you have to see his reaction for yourself. For context: Debiedma has been trying to win an EVO for years, always falling short just short of first place. Though the victory netted him a mere $14,000, it was the culmination of a decade-long dream.
