Explore the Spaced Out Setting for Alien Adventure 'Prey'

Arkane shows off more of its "open space station game"

Bethesda

Prey is out next month but creators Arkane want to give you an early, guided tour of the game's setting, Talos I. You wake up on the space station as Morgan Yu, only to find it overrun by a shape-shifting alien race called the Typhon.

"Imagine the outbreak is this wave," says lead designer Ricardo Bare. "The player is just moments behind that wave. And because of that you'll find these people who are still alive and they're like 'Morgan, what is happening? What are we going to do?"

The Talos I's environments include corporate offices, living quarters and science labs and you'll also be travelling outside the safety of the station and into space.

"We call it an open space station game," says Bare. "It's like an open world game. Eventually the player has the means to go all over the space station."

Prey will be released on May 5 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
