Shopper's Paradise

If you've ever wondered where people at Burning Man shop for their attire and other accessories, the answer might just be Symbiosis. The festival is corporate-free – you won't see any stages named after car manufacturers or signage for Coke or Pepsi, and you can give up trying to find branded bottled water for sale, let alone a beer garden. But at the central marketplace, attendees can shop at mom-and-pop boutiques that offer everything from solar-powered lantern canteens ($20) to gypsy-punk jackets at very non-gypsy prices ($500 and up).
