Unlike Disneyland, or even most major music festivals, much of the entertainment at Symbiosis was up to the attendees to figure out and interact with at their own risk. Want to climb up this structure and dance to Adam Freeland? Fine. But there are no stairs, no arrows pointing the way, and no security to make sure you’re safe. With risk, comes reward. . . and a view of the festival grounds from up on high.
This particular structure, titled the Last Tree Standing, was commissioned for Symbiosis in 2009 and updated for this year's edition by original sculptor (and Burning Man artist) Jason Bernard.
