Hulu Plus online video streaming is now available on four new Android smartphones, including the HTC Evo 4G, HTC MyTouch 4G and G2, and HTC ThunderBolt.
Currently supported on ten total mobile devices, the subscription service can also be accessed from additional handsets such as the Nexus One, Nexus S, Motorola Droid II and X, Motorola Atrix and HTC Inspire 4G. Offered as a downloadable app via Android Market, viewers interested in streaming digital TV shows and movies over the Internet can additionally find it on multiple devices from DVRs to HDTVs and video game consoles.
“We’re extremely excited to offer Hulu Plus subscribers the opportunity to watch premium content on these smartphones when, how and where they want it,” said Sr. Product Manager Lonn Lee in a recent blog post. “As we said when we initially launched, we’ll continue to work hard to support additional devices. Stay tuned for more announcements in the coming months.”
Reportedly being courted as a potential acquisition by Google, Yahoo and other high-tech giants, a possible acquisition may be one of those coming from the Internet video service shortly.
