Fans of writer Grant Morrison will congregate in Las Vegas in September for the first ever MorrisonCon, a convention that will celebrate the works of the comic book visionary. The gathering will feature Morrison as the guest of honor along with My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way, fellow comics writer Jonathan Hickman and frequent collaborators Frank Quitely, J.H. Williams III and Chris Burnham.

MorrisonCon is curated by Morrison himself along with a group called Ingition Sequence. The event, which will be held September 28th through 30th at the Hard Rock Hotel will feature discussions of Morrison's work, other creators' projects and the world of comics in general. Morrison will also DJ at an after hours party. Attendance will be limited to 1000 attendees in order to keep the gathering relatively intimate.
