Firefox 4 Boasts Faster Speeds, Better Graphics

Firefox 4, a major upgrade and revision to the beloved Web browser, is now available for download.

Initially scheduled for debut in November and released just days after rival Internet Explorer 9 from Microsoft, Mozilla’s new online browser features built-in support for graphics processors, allowing faster access to compatible pages. In addition to a streamlined and revamped interface, further improvements include better tab and add-on management, enhanced password and bookmark synchronization, 3-D graphics support and faster load times.

This upgrade hopes to reclaim Firefox’s share of the browser market, which has declined roughly 3 percent in the past year. Firefox 4 represents a solid advancement over its predecessor, as new and veteran users may note.
