Following Google’s recent announcement that it is adding games to its Google+ social network, rival Facebook has revealed updates to its own gaming service, newly redesigned to make digital diversions easier to find and play.
Aimed at making video games simpler to discover for the over 200 million monthly active users who play them on the service, game updates will now be displayed in their own live real-time feed. Beyond making friends’ play habits and activities more visible, improvements also extend to the social network’s user interface, with fans able to bookmark gaming apps and place icons in the upper right-hand corner of their screen.
Users are also being given greater control over when and where news and notifications appear, allowing them to limit visibility and minimize annoying notices when friends’ virtual cows need milking.
Certain titles such as CityVille, Zoo World, Monster World and Mystery Manor will additionally be playable in full-screen mode as well.
