The Book of Mormon, the wildly acclaimed Tony-nominated musical by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, will head out on a national tour in December 2012, beginning in Parker and Stone's home state of Colorado. Though no itinerary has been set for the road show, the producers have announced that the tour will kick off at Denver's Center for the Performing Arts .

The show's producers have given no indication of where the show may go from there. It is likely that they will be playing it by ear depending on audience response in that state, as Colorado is home to more than 137,000 Mormons. There is some concert that the show, a satire about Mormon missionaries in Africa, may not play well in more conservative pockets of the country.
