The Kardashian Kard
In a moment of peak alliteration, the Kardashians unveiled the "Kardashian Kard" with MasterCard in 2010. Unfortunately the prepaid debit card didn't quite pan out as smoothly as its name. The card was widely criticized, most notably by Connecticut Attorney General George Jepsen who included the zinger, "Keeping up with the Kardashians is impossible using these cards" in his criticism of its incredibly large fees and marketing towards young adults. The card was taken off the market less than a month after its debut. Hopefully the mere 250 consumers who actually purchased the card didn't cut it to shreds, because it is sure to be a collector's item for the ages.
