Video: How Titus Andronicus Gets the Coachella Crowd Fist-Pumping Jersey Style

POSTED:

New Jersey indie punk-rockers Titus Andronicus played a mid-afternoon set in the blistering sun on day one of Coachella, but they still drew a gigantic crowd that pumped their fists along to tracks from their latest LP The Monitor. "It's really fun to tour behind this album because people really get into it," the band's guitarist Amy Klein told Rolling Stone. "It's really cathartic to perform that kind of stuff. There's a lot of emotional content and you get to purge all sorts of anger and passion and express it in a positive light. People seem to be responding really well – even a year after the album's out people still want to attend our concerts and see our show...We're picking up momentum."
