Rolling Stone Live: Cage the Elephant Go High Energy Without Electricity

The Bowling Green, Kentucky band Cage the Elephant recently came by the Rolling Stone office to perform some acoustic versions of their loud, spirited garage rock tunes. Despite unplugging their guitars and sidelining their drummer, the group were still very high energy, with lead singer Matthew Shultz bouncing around and providing goofy introductions for the songs namechecking unlikely inspirations such as Marmite and Law and Order. The band mostly played tracks from their brand new record Thank You Happy Birthday, but threw in a cover of the British indie band Let's Wrestle's song "My Arms Don't Bend That Way, Damn It!" for good measure.
