Former Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft went on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last night to perform his new single "Are You Ready?" with The Roots. The song isn't a radical departure from his Brit-Pop roots, but the Roots thoroughly funkified it. Ashcroft reformed with The Verve for an album and tour a couple of years ago, but when it wound down they broke up for a third time. Ashcroft is now on a short solo tour in America that concludes Thursday night in Boston.
