At the start of this video shot at last night's Mountain Goats show at Manhattan's Bowery Ballroom, band leader John Darnielle introduces the Hold Steady's Craig Finn as "one of the best lyricists alive." That's very high praise coming from a man many would consider to be one of rock's top competitors for that title. Finn joined Darnielle for a duet on "This Year," a track from the Mountain Goats' 2005 album The Sunset Tree, much to the delight of a room packed with Mountain Goats superfans.
