"Modern Art," the second video from the Black Lips' Arabia Mountain (out June 7th), is darker and tighter than the one for "Go Out and Get It," the first single off the Mark Ronson-produced disc. Director Brian Butler – who calls himself an "international occult expert" – has the band staging a cockfight in a red-hued den of glamorous iniquity: They lounge around, drop acid and stalk the camera head on, mouthing the hook "turn around, start it over, let’s begin." Butler then spliced the footage with, variously, giant squids, dropping bombs and a dancing red, white and blue burka clutching a human skull. The result is tight, weird and really fun.
