Watch Netflix Online Movies With a Wave of Your Hand

Xbox 360 owners can now enjoy streaming online movies and TV shows with the wave of a hand. A new downloadable update for the gaming system’s Netflix app allows motion-sensing Kinect camera owners to scroll through videos just by flicking their wrist, or use voice commands to browse featured selections.

Controller-free user interface options additionally include the ability to play, pause, fast forward and rewind online videos just by saying these commands, or use your grubby paws in place of a remote control. Physical gestures and verbal statements can also be used to parse through menus and queue up specific films and television series for on-demand viewing.

"By integrating Kinect into the Netflix experience on Xbox LIVE, we're continuing to transform the way people enjoy their favorite entertainment in the living room," said Pete Thompson, General Manager, Xbox LIVE. "Since its launch, Netflix has always been one of the most popular services on Xbox LIVE, so we are excited to deliver a brand new way to control this experience in a way that can't be found anywhere else."

Now, if only they’d add support for “add a crap-ton more new high-definition movies and shows, within a reasonable timeframe – say, even a year of original release” command, Xbox owners would be ecstatic.
