Trade, Rent eBooks Free Online Through New Service

POSTED:

Amazon’s Kindle and Barnes & Noble’s Nook owners can now swap, exchange and rent eBooks and digital publications for free courtesy of online lending site eBook Fling. Unlike competing eBook borrowing services, it’s specifically designed for use with these digital reading devices, and is also compatible with iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry and Android mobile phones.

Thousands of digital manuscripts, which publishers can make available for 14-day lending, support the system, which alows you to you lend correspondingly labeled volumes once to other readers. Members of eBook Fling register for access to the online book club, which is free to join, then list titles from their collection they’d like to make available, which other members can then request. By emailing affirmative responses to digital queries, which allow requesters to borrow the book, you earn credits, which can be exchanged for books you personally have your eye on. These credits, exchanged at the rate of one per book, can also be purchased for $1.99.

Although thousands of free eBooks are available for many digital devices online, and numerous libraries offer eBook lending programs, these types of online matchmaking services offer an extensive selection of premium-priced works and new releases.
