'Star Wars' Blu-Ray Discs Slated for Fall

According to Amazon.com, Star Wars: The Complete Saga on Blu-ray will make its long-awaited release on September 27th, 2011. Like the vaunted original three films and crappier Prequel Trilogy (each selling solo for $44.99), you can now preorder the long-awaited package for just $89.99.

A nine-disc set featuring all six Star Wars movies, the box includes cinematic classics A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi and later releases like The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. The boxed set also features three discs with over 30 hours of special features, including never-before-seen deleted and alternate scenes, film extras and bonus footage from the Star Wars archives.

Reserve a copy now, and you can save $50 off the collection’s actual $139.99 retail price. Otherwise, may the Force be with your wallet.
