Lady Gaga has launched a social media site called LittleMonsters.com that is designed as a meeting place for her legion of fans. The site, which is in its beta stage, is currently invite-only, but is being described by early reports as being similar to Pinterest in that allows its users to "pin" images, items and locations of interest for display. The site is, of course, named after the singer's playful nickname for her hardcore devotees.

Gaga is already immensely popular on social media, so spinning off her own site is a no-brainer. As of now, the pop star has 19 million followers on Twitter, placing her among the most-followed people on the planet. Her videos on YouTube have been watched over one billion times. That said, it may be difficult for the singer to launch a site from scratch, as Twitter and YouTube are already immensely popular sites with or without her.
