Watch Loretta Lynn's Nostalgic 'Country Christmas' Video

Country legend is joined by producer John Carter Cash for tune from holiday LP 'White Christmas Blue'

Loretta Lynn's video for "Country Christmas" shows her performing the holiday song with producer John Carter Cash.

Fifty years after she wrote it as the title cut of her first holiday LP, Loretta Lynn has recorded a lively new version of "Country Christmas" for her 2016 holiday collection, White Christmas Blue. Bringing the festive tune to life in this heartwarming video, Lynn performs with album producer John Carter Cash at the rustic Cash Cabin recording studio north of Nashville.

As a Christmas bonus, the clip includes never-before-seen home movies of the Lynn family celebrating the holidays, with footage of Lynn's late husband, Doolittle, and children, including twin daughters Peggy and Patsy among the Yuletide revelers. Patsy Lynn Russell co-produced the LP with Cash. Lynn also revisits her early Christmas hit, "To Heck With Ole Santa Claus" and recites the classic poem, "Twas the Night Before Christmas."

Lynn, who shared her first Grammy award in 1972 with frequent duet partner Conway Twitty, has been nominated for Best Country Album for Full Circle. In 2005, her collaboration with Jack White, Van Lear Rose, took home that honor.
