Lillie Mae Rische, who performs as Lillie Rae, has been one of the bigger breakouts of the first half of 2017, gaining attention from critics and listeners alike with the lush, complex folk-rock on her Third Man Records debut Forever and Then Some. Today, Lillie Mae shared a new video for album standout "Wash Me Clean."
In the clip, we see Lillie Mae and her band mates, including brother Frank and sister Grace, jamming together in a sparse living room and in front of a pretty, artfully spray-painted truck. The lo-fi camera filter and homey environs nicely complement the gentle tone of the track, which shows off Lillie Mae's adept warble and the fiddle chops for which she first came to be known while touring as a member of Jack White's band.
Forever and Then Some Came out earlier this year and landed on Rolling Stone Country's 25 Best Country and Americana Albums of 2017 So Far list. Lillie Rae is currently touring through early fall.
