While he still hasn't shared much information about his next album, Hunter Hayes did just gift fans with something new: a music video for his track "Yesterday's Song."
Hayes takes a literal approach to creating visuals for the defiant song, which takes stock of a past relationship gone awry, performing in a labyrinth of mirrors where he encounters his own younger reflection at every turn.
The "Wanted" singer released "Yesterday's Song," along with "Young Blood" and "Amen," in early fall of last year as part of a goal to release new music by his 25th birthday. Earlier this year, he spoke with Rolling Stone Country about what he's been working on since releasing his last album The 21 Project in 2015.
"There are still songs we're playing now that we're working to figure out," he said of his forthcoming, as-yet-untitled project. "But the process is all about figuring out. It's not gonna check the checklist; it's just going to feel good."
Hayes will headline the Stadium of Fire Festival at Brigham Young University alongside Little Big Town on July 1st.
