Watch Chris Shiflett's Stark 'Sticks and Stones' Video

Foo Fighters guitarist and band bash their way through twangy rocker from new solo LP 'West Coast Town'

Chris Shiflett is upholding a long tradition of bringing a little punk to country on the jangly garage-rocker "Sticks and Stones," a new track from the Foo Fighters guitarist's forthcoming solo album West Coast Town. Check out the song and its accompanying video above.

"Throw your bottles, sticks and stones/ You made it clear where I can go," Shiflett sings in the song's first verse, hinting this just might be a tune about trouble in paradise. In the video, Shiflett and his band perform the Southern rock-indebted single in an unadorned space, echoing the track's DIY aesthetic.

Earlier this year, Shiflett released "West Coast Town," the album's rowdy, hardscrabble title track, with a frenzied music video that features footage of his old stomping grounds in California.

West Coast Town is out April 14th. Shiflett is also keeping busy with his podcast Walking the Floor, which most recently featured a conversation with AFI's Davey Havok and Jade Puget.
