If every breakup is a process, then Jennifer Nettles' new video for "Hey Heartbreak" puts her character somewhere near moving the hell on with her life.
Filmed in and around Santa Barbara, California by director Shane Drake, the clip depicts Nettles arriving in the sunny locale via Uber, bag in hand, ready to recharge. Like the song, which appears on Nettles' album Playing With Fire, she's taking this crucial step in letting go of her heartbreak. In California, she dances in the palm trees, takes pleasure in dining alone and finds steady footing once again. By the end of the video, she's rid herself of the last bit of baggage from her old life.
Heading into the holidays, Nettles will star in the AXS TV special Band Against Cancer presents Jennifer Nettles: 'Tis the Season, which airs tomorrow (December 20th). On December 23rd, NBC will re-air Dolly Parton's Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love, in which Nettles plays the role of Parton's mother Avie Lee. In October, Nettles released her holiday album To Celebrate Christmas.
