Hear Michael Ray's Wistful New Song 'Get to You'

"Kiss Me in the Morning" performer offers up lead single from new album

Michael Ray's "Get to You" is the lead single from a new album.

Following a triumphant performance at this year's CMA Music Festival that included a cameo from guest Randy Travis, Michael Ray has shared his new song "Get to You."

Accompanied by a video in which Ray drives past scenic locations including Nashville's Percy Priest Lake, "Get to You" is a romantic ballad about a woman afraid to risk heartbreak. "There's always going to be some pain / A little sunshine, a little rain / Doesnt' mean it ain't worth it babe," Ray sings in the impassioned chorus, before showing off his range and hitting a few high notes. Abe Stoklasa and Pavel Dovgalyuk wrote the wistful new tune.

"Get to You" is the lead single off Ray's forthcoming second album, the follow-up to his 2015 self-titled album. That release produced the number one hits "Kiss You in the Morning" and "Think a Little Less." No additional release details about Ray's new project are currently available.

Ray recently appeared on an episode of CMT's Nashville. His next show takes place June 21st at Pennysaver Amphitheater in Farmingville, New York.
