For more than 50 years, Hank Williams, Jr. has been a constant presence on the country charts and the concert stage. Beginning with a Top Five remake of his father's "Long Gone Lonesome Blues" in 1964, Williams has made the Billboard country singles charts over 100 times, scoring 10 Number One hits. Nine of those chart-toppers are among the tracks on the just-released Curb Records box set Hank Williams, Jr: A Country Boy Can Survive, which takes its name from his enduring 1982 classic. The defiant country-rock hit celebrates its 35th anniversary next year. The four-disc box set is available exclusively at Walmart.

Focused on the astounding success Williams experienced beginning with 1979's "Family Tradition," the set features all but one of the 30 Top 40 hits from 1979 to 1990. Other cuts include his first Number One, 1970's "All for the Love of Sunshine," recorded with the Mike Curb Congregation vocal group, and popular album cuts such as "Outlaw Women," "Dinosaur" and "The Blues Man."

A fourth disc is packed with live performances of such classics as "If Heaven Ain't a Lot Like Dixie," and the self-referential "If You Don't Like Hank Williams" and "My Name Is Bocephus," the latter first featured on the platinum-certified 1986 LP Montana Café, which was followed by his two-year reign as CMA Entertainer of the Year and three consecutive ACM Entertainer of the Year trophies.

To date, Williams has charted 37 albums with Curb Records, beginning with 1977's One Night Stands, and has amassed album sales in excess of 70 million worldwide. In 1982, he became the only artist to simultaneously hold down nine spots on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart at the same time. His most recent LP (and first for the Nash Iabel) It's About Time bowed at Number Two, his highest peak on that chart since 1990. Earlier this year, Williams played a series of co-headlining dates with Chris Stapleton.
