Blake Shelton, Thomas Rhett Set for Times Square New Year's Eve
Blake Shelton and Thomas Rhett are among the country artists ringing in 2017 in New York City.

Blake Shelton and Thomas Rhett will both be in New York City's Times Square on Saturday night, December 31st, to ring in 2017.

Shelton has been tapped as one of the musical guests on NBC's New Year’s Eve With Carson Daly. He's joined by Alicia Keys, his fellow coach on The Voice, and the vocal group Pentatonix.

Rhett, meanwhile, is set to perform on ABC's long-running Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2017, along with Joe Jonas' new band DNCE, the cast of Broadway's On Your Feet!, Gloria Estefan and the night's headliner, Mariah Carey.

Nashville is also hosting its own year-end party. Headlined by Keith Urban, the Jack Daniel's Music City Midnight: New Year’s Eve in Nashville free event at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park also features A Thousand Horses, Charlie Worsham and classic-rockers Styx.

While the famous crystal ball will drop in Times Square, Nashville revelers say good riddance to 2016 with the lowering of a supersized music note.
