Choose the Cover contest finalists the Sheepdogs met up with Kid Rock at the Borgata in Atlantic City shortly after their appearance at the Bonnaroo festival. Rock only recently became aware of the band's music, but he's a big fan of their retro sound. "That great blues rock and roll music, it's not about trickery, it's about the feeling, it's about the harmonies, it's about the singing, the playing, a band," Rock told the group. "I was playing [your songs] for my friends, like, hey check this out. These guys got it."

Rock also offered some words of encouragement for the Canadian boogie rockers. "The advice I'd give to you guys is, do exactly what you're doing and tell everybody to fuck off," Rock says. "Don't let 'em try to change ya, and just be yourselves."
