And then there were eight!  This morning Rolling Stone announced 'The Great 8' - the artists moving on to round two in our 'So You Wanna Be a Rock & Roll Star' contest.  The eight to advance, and get one step closer to the cover of Rolling Stone, are Empires, Fictionist, Lelia Broussard, Mod Sun, The Romany Rye, The Sheepdogs, Skyler Stonestreet and Tha Boogie.  Not only were the bands flown into New York City last week to play a live showcase in front of music executives and Rolling Stone editors, but they went into the studio to record tracks with a major producer.
