First there was the hip-hop remake of Fame, now Hollywood is plotting a modernized version of Sam Peckinpah's Straw Dogs and a Rosemary's Baby reboot by Transformers practitioner Michael Bay! Is nothing sacred? In this edition of Damn You, Hollywood! Rolling Stone movie critic Peter Travers criticizes Tinseltown for their remake obsession and why it needs to stop before someone does the unspeakable Citizen Kane recreation.

Damn You, Hollywood: "Shutter Island" Banished to 2010

The fall season is desperate for a great movie, and Paramount Pictures has gone and moved Martin Scorsese's Shutter Island (starring Leonardo DiCaprio) to 2010. This news has Peter Travers mightily pissed. Check out his rant, above.

Damn You Hollywood!

When Hollywood does something that pisses us off, we will react! Our new segment Damn You Hollywood! kicks off with Peter Travers taking aim at Paramount, the studio that gave us the abysmal Transformers 2. Now they've decided no critics can see GI Joe in advance. Does Peter care? Nope. He'll be checking out the first regular performance of the film Friday morning and will have a complete report. Stay tuned.
