In Peter Travers' second "Off the Cuff" interview — an informal chat in his office where Hollywood stars are grilled on a variety of topics — Rolling Stone's movie critic breaks out his own magic wand (which looks like a blunt, he points out) for Tom Felton, who plays loathsome bully Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films (read Travers' review of the sixth film). Felton recalled the joys of listening to blaring '60s punk at 5 a.m. while getting his make-up done on the Potter set care of Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, and revealed how auditioning for the role of Potter and Ron Weasley led to a rainbow of humiliating hairstyles. He also clues Travers in on the trick to playing a really bad guy, and strums a little acoustic guitar. I have to agree. Tom definitely came out of his shell in the 6th movie(and about time, too!). The interview was hilarious. One of the most entertaining I've ever seen!

I promised to read the Harry Potter series this summer. I'm now into the 2nd book and I must say I really dislike Malfoy. Such a good actor Tom Felton is and such a beautiful person he is! Great fun interview, Peter and such wonderful energy....almost like a dance between you and Tom.

These interviews are so much fun to watch. I am glad you did a follow up to the Justin Long interview. He seems like a really gracious guy, down to earth and a lot of fun. And I agree with Clare - he was fantastic in all the HP films.

It is nice to see Tom Felton getting some press for HBP. He did an amazing job portraying the conflicted Draco Malfoy this time up - he really deserves some kudos for it.
I'd love to see the Alan Rickman interview as well. : ) This was really their movie - Draco and Snape. Would have loved more of them in it but they definitely acted their hearts out in the bits that we did get.
