Well, I have seen both films. I thought Wanted was very silly and absurd, yet it was also pretty fun. Wonderfully stylized.
That said, WALL*E is, by far, the better film. Wanted was diverting enough while I was there. But WALL*E has stuck with me for days after seeing it. While Wanted is visually fun, WALL*E is visually breathtaking. I am actually going back to see WALL*E a second time. The whole film is fantastic, especially the near-genius first 30 minutes.

Jeff, Travers specifically limits his prediction to 'you' in his statement. He suggests that the people watching this video are the ones who are more likely to avoid the (slightly) more childish movie, Wall-E. He says nothing about the entire US population.

It's going to be hard for me to not compare this to the Matrix.

Wall-E is my favorite as well! I guess it's going to be #1 at the box office, by far? I wouldn't bet on that though.

Well, Peter, for once you're wrong. People are going to go see Wall-E in droves. Even Mark Millar, the guy who wrote the comic of Wanted, even admitted that on his website when he talked about a sequel. His quote was: "We'll see what box office is like at the weekend, but everyone knows this is going to make a LOT of dough…Wall-E permitting. Fucking bastard of a wee robot." Pretty funny guy. I'm actually more interested in seeing Wanted now that the reviews are out though. But Wall-E is first on my list. Thanks for the review, always a pleasure reading/watching 'em.
