As most comedians are, Al Franken is brilliant. It will be refreshing to have him in the Senate schooling the rest with his wit, his charm, his ethics. Maybe some of those pompous asses will learn a few things.

To Paraphrase Mr.T:"I Pity The Poor Fools In Minnesota!!
Their Choice Of Senators Are
a Republican Whack Job Who Became an Independent Whack Job and an SNL Has Been!!
I Pity The Poor Fools In Minnesota!!".

Minnesota Nice was an extra from the dvd of the movie Fargo. You betcha, they nailed that concept what Skippy says there.

Franken is closing the gap as of now. I highly recommend watching theuptake.org with a cool martini. How is it possible that people don't know how to fill out a Scantron form? And why the hell are they doing it in ink? Seriously, this SOB needs to win! We really need a devil's advocate in that frat club we call The Senate. Then again, getting rid of the Senate sounds like a better plan.

I like the way you tie humour to truth. I have always maintained, what is true, what is shocking, and what is funny, is all one and the same thing.

Matt, I love your articles, but could you be more naive? Minnesota is 'laid back?!' Have you MET any of the people from this state? Every smile, every pleasant comment, every apparent kind act hides a seething mass of judgment and resentment that leaks out here and there in toxic streams of mild-mannered, quiet, innocuous-seeming nastiness.

nice. im glad RS finally talked about Al. This guy is hilarious and i dont think i will ever forget his little soldier of fortune article in the limbaugh book. it would be nice if he would stop trying to be serious, though.
