So I read this blog spot and needed to comment. I'm not sure of who KOL is and will probably want to get a CD of theirs. But as for Nickleback, I gotta be honest, I'm a huge fan. I've never listened to Rock or Alternative before I had the pleasure of getting a NB CD. These guys are great through and through.

A lot of people have been wondering how a band like Nickelback sells so many albums and gets so much air play. The answer is simple (like their fans). EVERYONE who likes Nickelback is uneducated in music and more than likely in life. Their music is so "mickey mouse" and unoriginal and I don't care how much money it made me, I would always be embarrassed if that was the music I produced. Bands like Nickelback, Creed, 3 Doors Down, etc. have ruined the music scene for people who actually have talent. They should all be ashamed or at least half-retarded, at least I could respect that.

Kings of Leon are okay. Least with their song. And the Nickelback cover was amazing. The only reason it sounds bad in any of the videos is because stuff sounds like shit when you record it with your mother's 20$ camera. God. You people have no lives. Both bands sing the song well.

What's up with the last couple of comments referring to KOL as sellouts? Yes they made a different album that is their most commercially successful album. Is that wrong? Is it their fault that Nickelback chose to cover them? And TnT, why would be embarrassed to wear your KOL t-shirt? Because Nickelback fans love them too now? Oh, GOD FORBID that people have diverse musical tastes! Only really cool people are supposed to like KOL, not lame-ass people who like NICKELBACK!!!!!!! I hate so-called indie fans, they complain that mainstream music sucks because they play what they consider to be crappy music, and when one of their own makes it into the mainstream they turn on them for "going commercial". You don't know what you want! This whole "indie" thing is simply something to boost one's superiority complex, to have the feeling of knowing something only a couple dozen other people do. Well you know what? KOL are developing a massive following, and you should be happy for them. If you don't like the record, fine you don't like record, but don't hate them because for once in their lives their fans are in the millions. So many years of hard work FINALLY paying off, and you're treating them like they're the devil? Has it ever occurred to you people that ALL bands have dreams of becoming huge? Not compromising themselves is also something that a lot of bands take seriously, and it means that they may only sell 2 copies of their records, then so be it. But if they can have their cake and eat it too, why turn on them for that? Well either way, I don't think KOL will suffer. They may lose a few "fans" but they'll gain better and more faithful ones. Look at Metallica. A lot of people called them sellouts for the Black Album and look how huge they became. If I were KOL, I'd be telling you "Sayonara, HATERS!"

Why would you cover/butcher a song by a band that openly hates you Nickleback, why?

This is fitting. "Use Somebody" is finally reaching its target audience! Sad to see that a once-great band has become Nickelback cover fodder. Congrats, Followills. Hope it was worth it.

What's really scary is how many Nickleback fans cheered when they mention K.O.L. if I see someone at K.O.L. concert with a Nickleback shirt on they are getting gang beaten.

It's like when Limp Bizkit started covering Pink Floyd and The Who after 9/11 - they could sense a changing of the guard and they were the ones going away.

Amazing that Nickelback's popularity has lasted as long as it has. So sayonara, Nickelback, nice knowing ya!
