What the hell is Marilyn Manson up to, you ask?
"My new record is done, man," he tells the S.S. "It's called The High End of Low - it's a self-described state of being that I'm in. You're going to be fucking freaked. It's the shit."
Manson is currently in the mixing process - no word yet on a release date - and this month he'll shoot the album's first video, for the tune "I Want to Kill You Like They Do in the Movies." "It's nine minutes long," he says. "Severely sadist. Basically, it's murder, sex, death, the end."
While we're in Los Angeles for the Grammy's, we'll drop by Manson's pad and get the full scoop.

LOL@ someone: Obvious troll is obvious, Manson is credited in all of the albums as the lyricist. Not only that, but there are also allusions to Manson's childhood within some of his older songs.(Kinderfeld,lunchbox, etc.)
Whatever, I bought the High End of Low and it's a kick ass album both lyrically and musically. It is too bad that Manson can't sing live anymore like he could during the Last Tour On Earth. I really hope he stops sucking live by the time Mayhem rolls around in California.

I haven't been a fan of Manson for very long but i know and have every song he has ever wrote and studied them. each album he makes is unique and i love every song there is of his but i must admit that his performance in 2003 at the 'a am ring' fest was sloppy and his voice isn't what it use to be LIVE and that his song 'this is America' is repetitive and has not got many lyrics BUT, i believe that this new album will be unique and awesome just like any other album he has produced... i hope!

I think that We're From America is not a very good song. It's far too repetitive, and so much of the lyrics have already been said in his other songs. It feels like a remake of Astonishing Panorama of the Endtimes, with a bunch of lyrics from Holy Wood.

I think he needs to take a tip from Al Jorgenson and go out with a bang. He lags big time and tries to buy time by creating rumours that never happen about himself. I agree that EMDM wasn't his best work.. by far. But it was better than Golden Age (in my opinion)... which I guess still isn't saying too much.
I'll always be a Manson fan, even if his music isn't as good as what it used to be. He could put out an album singing the ABC's and I'd still try to justify it.
I do agree that his song titles are becoming somewhat lame... but hopefully reuniting with twiggy will be a return to the Portrait - Holywood days, which I was rather fond of.

No, Justice is obviously lying. He can't name any songs or lyrics. There are no CD's just floating out there while the album is in the final mixing stage, just CDs in Manson's and the studio's possession. The admin of Manson's fansite has heard the album because he knows Manson personally, same goes for Rudy who until recently lived with MM. If it's coming out mid-May then the promos will be out by mid-March to some places but people claiming to have heard it now outside of Manson's circle just aren't telling the truth.

You're all idiots, Manson's lyrics have remained well written since Portrait; Fuck, they've actually gotten better. If Anything GOAG and EMDM have been more lyrically mature than anything else he's done. It's all about analytical skills, kids. Read some books and learn some art history and you'll realize Manson's more accessible albums are still drenched in allegory.
I'm excited for the new album, I can't wait to see what Manson Parodies this time around.

Since ACSS Manson he was all about the money, it's all just an act, and even he admitted it because it's so obvious. Okay, so...If this album is ANYTHING CLOSE to ACSS, I'm going to be fucking stoked. Granted, mainstream airplay would be nice, but the OG Mazza sound will be wonderful, too.
Not to mention, this will be the second album from MM that I'll get to see in a live setting immediately after release. The first was EMDM (sadly). I guess what I'm saying is I can't wait for this record.
