Rolling Stone Ron Wood is not starting 2009 on the good foot.
Huh? He's got to be filthy rich, right?
Well, the alleged money woes are reportedly stemming from his sordid affair with Russian cocktail waitress Ekaterina Ivanova. (Various press reports estimate her age to be somewhere between 18 and 21.)
Last summer Wood met Ivanova at a London bar, and they apparently hit it off. But when Wood entered rehab in July, it was speculated that the dalliance was over, and that Wood might reconcile with his wife, Jo. But not so. In October, Wood moved out of his family's home. The Post reports, "Jo now figures better a divorce than continued humiliation." And it seems she's got the ammo to take Wood to the cleaners.
With Wood's funds allegedly running low, and no Rolling Stones tour in the works, Wood has been banking on a Faces reunion.
Perfect!
Problem is that when the Faces -- Rod Stewart, Ian McLagan, Kenney Jones and Wood -- reunited recently for a rehearsal, the music sounded great but the vibes were bad. The members apparently can't get along, resulting in no tour.
As if things couldn't get any worse, his former manager, Nick Cowan, has just written a tell-all book called Fifty Teabags and a Bottle of Rum. The book follows Wood's exploits and features plenty of sex, drugs and rock & roll. It also details Wood's affairs over the years, including a one-nighter with model Kelly LeBrock. Cowan had been Wood's manager for 22 years, keeping all his secrets hush-hush, but when Wood replaced him with his wife's son, James, Cowan spilled the beans.
Sad.

i think people should go to bookstores and hide that book in the self-help section or the fiction section or something

Apparently he just spent 13,000 pounds to buy a guitar "once played by Jimi Hendrix" for his girlfriend and is teaching her how to play. If that's true, then he's probably not too concerned about the state of his finances.

"bad vibes"? I wonder who didn't get along. Ian McLagan is the nicest guy. I loved interviewing him. Kenney Jones always seemed very laid-back, too, even when he was getting grief from his then-fellow-Who members.
I was hoping for a Faces reunion. Too bad. I hope Ronnie Wood gets well.

If you read Ronnie's book, he's had financial problems before. Many times over. He always sold a few paintings, got a new manager. His main problem was the he spent a lot of money on drugs. There's always a way out of the hole for people like Ronnie.

Keep your friends close and your enemies even closer as the saying goes.
If this story turns out to be true it will be a sad testimate to a great career. To squander the obvious millions of dollars would not be the shame. Ruining a marriage of forever over a piece of trim would be the real shame.
Many say that's the Rock N Roll lifestyle at work. I'd say in the advent of HIV/AIDS the best thing a man could ever do is take his wife along and bang her as they went. No need to mention all the pain and suffering a cheater inflicts on a spouse.
So his wife will get a huge chunk of his fortune. That's the way the cookie crumbles. He should have some money left to live on unless he's related to Mike Tyson, MC Hammer or Amy Winehouse.
Many of us were hoping for a Faces reunion and tour. A great deal of good music came from that band. All that needed to be said was tickets had gone on sale and a string of sold out shows would have been the result. He brought a tremendous amount of talent to the Rolling Stones and he needs to be out playing music period.
Lets just hope all the stories about Ron are a bunch of Malarkey. Every thing's hearsay until proven right?

That sucks that there's no Faces reunion tour. And suckier still is that maggot manager writing a tell all book, I hope no one buys it. What a leech. I'm going to go play Ooh La La now and wish better times for Ronnie Wood.
