Strokes fans around the world are looking forward to February, when the band mates have promised to meet up in New York, and get crackin' on their fourth album.
The plan is to write and record new music, then hit the road.
Last week we caught up with guitarist Albert Hammond, Jr., at a studio in Manhattan. Albert is currently working with the New York band the Postelles, producing their new album. We'll have a cool video of one of their sessions up soon, but first we wanted to give you a quick Strokes update.
"We're getting back together for the first time in two years, and it's very exciting," says Albert. "We're just going to start working on songs. I mean, sounds -- we don't even have the songs. We got to get back to playing first. That's all I know. Right now, it's just February 11th at 2 o'clock we're going to the studio to hang out and play music. I just know the date and time."
