The rumor is the Hold Steady will play.
We don't know why we get so worked up about this. But, for some reason, we just can't stand that woman.
We were in her general vicinity years ago -- backstage at a Killers concert in Central Park -- and her holier-than-thou attitude totally pissed everyone off. That night she joined a short list of celebrities who we simply abhor, folks who make our skin crawl. Among them are her Food Network cohort Bobby Flay, actor Kevin Bacon and nearly every cast member of Entourage. We also know people who've worked for Rachael Ray who can confirm she's a royal biz-natch.
If we ever have to hear her say "Mmmmm" again, we're going to gouge out our eardrums.
"I have so many commitments and so many jobs that it'd be really hard for me to sneak out and do this again next year," Ray said after her party last year. (Well isn't she special!)
So here's an idea, Mrs. Ray: Don't do it again! Go tend to your plethora of important commitments! Stay away from SXSW, you evil woman! Austin is a beautiful place, and SXSW is a beautiful thing -- you and your shitty food don't need to ruin it for the rest of us!

I have watched several of the Food Network stars, displaying their woeful talents daily! So ho-hum. Bobby Flay is the New Howdy Doody and Rachel is, just a mess. Giada, if I hear her say Panchetta, in that voice one more time, I think I will scream!

Hate to say it, but she was totally cool at her SXSW party last year. Free kick ass food, free beer and mojitos and I saw her pose for photos with anyone that wanted a photo taken.
Not a big fan of hers, but the party was cool, and the sliders, the ribs, and the mac and cheese were friggin outstanding!
you can read about the bands elsewhere, but it was also cool when Billy Gibbons of ZZ top came out and played a couple songs 6 feet from me.

Rachael 'The Roach' Ray, is a hack wrapped in the enigma of her fame, which can be contributed/divided into 3 parts: people with shoe-size IQ's lacking sense or taste (aka her fans), the rest of us who see the truth about this bitch & the lure of a modern day freak show, plus the idiots over at Food Network & 'Harpo' who released this scourge upon the land.

I don't know about Rachel Ray but I know Bobby Flay is an asshole. He acts like he's curing cancer when he's just grilling meat like everyone else

I HATE Rachel Ray and that goddamned Rocky the squirrel on helium voice of hers. I live around the corner from Mesa grill (one of Bobby Flay's restaurants) and whenever I see Bobby Flay I yell out, "Hi Emeril!" And he always gives me a really foul look. Paula Deen is another scary Food Network person, in fact is there anyone normal on that Network?

I used to work for Barnes & Noble and she did a book signing at our store- I can confirm she is a total bitch-wad! She told the event organizers that she wasn't to be approached by any "booksellers".
Well, I guess she wasn't aware that the lowlife booksellers were responsible for putting her books where everyone can find them.
