Franz Ferdinand Get High For "Ulysses"

Here's the brilliant new doped-out video for "Ulysses," the single from Franz Ferdinand's upcoming album, Tonight: Franz Ferdinand.

We hung out with the Franz in San Diego last month, for an upcoming feature in the magazine, and they said that shooting the video guerilla-style was a blast. The "roach-infested" hotel room in the video they found driving between Las Vegas and L.A. on their recent promo tour.

Alex Kapranos looks seriously fucked!

He told us that there was some drug experimenting in the studio while they recorded Tonight. He also told us that, (way back when) one of their first gigs in Glasgow turned into a disaster because guitarist Nick McCarthy and drummer Paul Thompson were ripped on shrooms. "The song just kept going on and on," Kapranos remembers.

"A gig stoned is fun sometimes," he adds. "Sometimes it's useless."
