Billboard is reporting that Bob Dylan and will.i.am will be featured on a commercial during the Superbowl this weekend, and the two will be singing together!
The commercial is for Pepsi, and the song is said to have been written exclusively for the ad. Pepsi executives are apparently toying with the idea of selling the song on iTunes after it airs during this weekend's big game. No other details are available.
In other Superbowl news, the Smashing Pumpkins will be debuting a new tune during a commercial for Hyundai's Genesis Coupe, and Yo Yo Ma will also appear in a Hyundai ad. Lil Wayne is expected to appear in a few ads, too.
It would be easy scoff at the idea of Dylan and will writing together, but you must remember, Dylan has never released a bad song in his whole life. In fact, all of his songs are amazing!
Well, except for "The Ugliest Girl In the World."

i love Dylan, but his 80's stuff is really terrible compared to anything before it or since. my vote for worst goes to "Driftin' Too Far From the Shore." and any other song where Dylan's voice is drowned out by a choir also gets annoying.

Well, if it's got will.i.am on it, Dylan might have his new worst song.
Hopefully the song will be a jingle and not a "song" song. It's weird - pairing up arguably the greatest singer/songwriter ever (Dylan) with the worst (guess - "My Humps", anyone?).
